Special Snake Gourd Dish
Snake gourd with Sesame Seeds
500 grams Snake gourds
200 grams Sasame seeds
200 grams Refined oil
6 Whole Red Chillies
1 Spoon Mustard seeds
1 Spoon Turmeric powder
1 Spoon Coriander seed powder
1 Spoon Ginger-garlic paste
2 Spoons Red Chilly powder
Salt to Taste

 

Wash the Snake gourds. Peel the outer thin layer. Cut open the vegetable and remove the seeds and white mucilaginous material. Now cut the vegetable into fine pieces.

Grind the sesame seeds into rough powder and save.

Pour oil into a frying pan, add oil and heat. Saute the whole red chillies and the mustard seeds.

Add the snake gourd pieces, turmeric powder, ginger-garlic paste, red chilly powder and mix well.

Now add coriander seed powder and enough salt. Fry for a few minutes, add two cups of water and allow to cook until the dish is well cooked.

Serve hot with rice and pancakes!
