Fast Delicious Soup!
1 15oz. can Great Northern Beans
1 medium white onion
1 cup water
1/8 tsp. salt, pinch
1 Tbls. (Rounded) Bacon Bits
1/8 tsp. Badia All Spice, Optional

Bring water to boil in a 2-Quart or larger sauce pan.

Meanwhile chop onion into cube-size pieces. Add the onion pieces and undrained beans to the boiling water, and the bacon bits and spice.

Turn down to simmer and let stand for 10-15 minutes. Remove from heat.

Serving Suggestion:
Serve with French or Cuban Bread sliced thick and coated with garlic butter. Place under broiler to toast for 2-3 minutes. For Garlic Butter, mix butter or margarine with garlic powder to taste. This can be kept in a sealed container in the refrigerator for 2-4 weeks.

With a green salad on the side, this makes a terrific lunch!
