Port Wine Vinaigrette
Sweet and Tangy!
1/4 cup Port Wine
1/3 cup olive or vegetable oil
1 Tbls minced green onion or chives
1 handfull chopped walnuts
1/4 cup minced apple
1/4 cup fresh grated parmesan cheese

This is a simple make-ahead dressing that jazzes up any greens. It's also an easy recipe to play around with, adjusting ingredients and amounts to suit your taste and the veggies you like in your salad.

The ingredients just need to be poured into a sealable container, shaken well, and left for up to one day before using.

You can use raspberries instead of apple, or almonds instead of walnuts, or red onion instead of green, but the one ingredient I insist you use is Fonseca Porto Bin No. 27. This port has a beautiful deep color and an intoxicating berry-oak flavor. but be warned, if you're a lightweight this dressing may get you a little tipsy.

Enjoy!!
