Crock Pot Pulled Pork
Southern Style Pulled Pork
2 pounds boneless pork ribs or pork shoulder roast
1 Onion, sliced thin
1 Bottle of beer (12oz)
1 Package of dried onion soup mix
1 Tbls beef base or 1 beef bullion cube
1 tsp Liquid Smoke (optional)

Crock Pot Pulled Pork

Trim fat off of the boneless beef ribs. If you are using a shoulder roast, trim fat and cut into 5 or 6 pieces.

Place pork and onion slices into the crockpot.

Pour beer into the crock pot.

Sprinkle the onion mix over the pork and add the beef base and liquid smoke.

Cover crock pot and cook on the low setting for 6-8 hours. The pork should fall apart at this point.

Use a fork to shred the pork. Let the shredded pork sit for another half hour or so in the broth.

Serve the pulled pork on toast with a side of mashed potatoes and cole slaw. Pour some of the broth over the pork and potatoes.

Serve with your favorite bar-be-que sauce.

This recipe can also be used for wonderful pulled pork sandwiches!

Enjoy
