Khara Semiya
Vermicilli in Spicy Meat Sauce!
2 cups vermicelli
2 Tbls. oil
1 large onion, chopped
1 large tomato, chopped
1/2 Tbls. ginger paste
1/2 Tbls. garlic paste
1 tsp. red chilli powder
pinch of turmeric
a few coriander and mint leaves and sprigs
1/2 cup minced meat
1/4 tsp. garam masala
salt - to taste

 

Boil vermicelli in salted water; drain. Mix in a spoon of oil and keep aside.

Heat oil and add onion; fry till golden brown.

Add meat and fry for a minute, then add ginger and garlic pastes; fry one more minute.

Add tomato, dry spices and herbs.

Add a few spoons of water and cook the sauce well; do not make it too dry.

Mix in the vermicelli and toss well.

Serve hot!
