Strawberry Delicious
Chocolate Brownies with Strawberries and Cream
2 drops of vanilla essence
280g butter
127g icing sugar
4 eggs
100g plain chocolate, broken into pieces
150g white sugar
50g plain flour
50g plain chocolate chips
50g white chocolate chips
50g ground hazelnuts (optional)
9 strawberries
A box of strawberry ice cream


Preheat the oven to 180 degrees. Grease a 20cm or 8 inch square cake pan with 5g of butter and line it with baking paper.

Melt the broken chocolate and 175g of butter together, stirring, and leave to cool once combined.

Whisk the eggs, vanilla essence and sugar together until frothy, about 3 minutes, then stir in the cooled chocolate and butter mixture.

Fold in the flour and ground hazelnuts, followed by the plain and white chocolate chips.

Transfer to the prepared cake pan and bake for 30 minutes, until well risen and just firm to the touch. Leave the brownies to cool in the pan.

Mix the left over butter with 100g of icing sugar to make butter cream.

Chop each strawberry into 4 thin slices, horizontally. Cut the brownies into squares and spread the butter cream and place 4 slices of strawberries on each one. Place 1 scoop of ice-cream next to each brownie. Dust each brownie and ice cream with 3g of icing sugar, too.
