DELICIOUS SWEET PANCAKE
A South Indian Delicacy
300 grams of BengalGram.
250 grams of All Purpose Flour.
350 grams of Clarified Butter (ghee).
2 spoons of Cardamom Powder.
1 cup grated raw Coconut.
300 grams of Sugar.

 

First cook the bengalgram until it is tender. Grind it to smooth , thick dough.

Add ghee and sufficient water to all purpose flour and prepare a thick dough.

Add sugar, cardamom powder and grated coconut to the bengalgram dough, mix well and prepare 2 inch round balls.

Prepare thin, circular medium size pancakes with all purpose flour dough. Put a ball in the middle of each pancake and cover.

Again press each one into some what thick pancake taking care not to expose the stuffed bengalgram material.

Add ghee to the frying pan and fry
the pancakes on both sides using liberal quantities of ghee.

TASTS GOOD WHEN HOT
