Mom's Miniature Danish
Little Holiday Crescent Cookies
1 egg yolk
2 cups flour
1/2 cup sour cream
2 sticks margarine

Filling:
1 cup chopped walnuts
3/4 cup sugar
1 tsp. cinnamon

 

Mix egg and sour cream

Cream margarine. Add flour. Blend well.

Add egg and sour cream mixture and blend again.

Divide into 4 balls and chill overnight. MUST BE CHILLED OVERNIGHT.

Roll out one ball at a time on floured board. Flour rolling pin also. Cut into 16 pie slices.
Spread 1/4 of the filling mixture on the circle. Roll into crescents starting at outer edge.

THIS IS EASIER THAN IT SOUNDS.

Bake 350 degrees F. for 12 to 15 minutes on ungreased cookie sheets.

Remove from oven to wire racks to cool. When serving, sprinkle powdered sugar on top.

Note: You may also use apricot preserves instead of cinnamon mixture for filling

1/2 cup apricot preserves
1/2 cup flaked coconut
1/4 cup finely chopped nuts

Divide up accordingly for each circle. Enjoy!
