Cheese A La Ange
Cheesy Toast Bake
4 Large Brown Onions, peeled
4 Slices Buttered cold toast
4 ozs. grated chedder cheese
1 Egg
Salt and Pepper
1 Tomato, cut into wedges
4 slices bacon
1/4 oz. butter for garnish


Cook onions in a saucepan with 1/2 cup salted water until tender.
Remove from pan, drain and cut into rings.

Line a greased baking dish with the buttered toast. Spread on onion rings and grated cheese.

Beat the egg, salt and pepper and pour over cheese.

Cut each slice of bacon in half lengthways, then roll up and hold with a toothpick.

Garnish with butter knobs, bacon rolls and tomato wedges. Bake in oven on 180 degrees C. for 30 minutes.
