Palace Turtle Cake

1 box German chocolate cake mix with pudding
1 lb. carmels
1 can sweetened condensed milk
1 stick margarine
6 oz. chocolate chips
1 cup pecans, chopped
Ice cream or Cool Whip
|
Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.
Mix cake mix according to directions.
Pour 1/2 the batter into a greased and floured 9x13-inch pan. Bake 15 minutes.
Put margarine and carmels into double boiler; gradually add milk until melted. Pour carmel mixture over hot cake.
Put the other half of the cake batter over carmel mixture.
Top with chocolate chips and nuts. Bake for 25 to 39 minutes.
Top with ice cream or Cool Whip!
