Low Fat Golden Apple Date Bread
2 cups flour
2 medium Golden apples, chopped finely
1/2 cup sugar
1 Tbls. honey
1 tsp. soda
2 tsp. baking powder
1 cup milk or soy milk
1 tsp. lemon juice, added to milk
2 Tbls. oil
2 tsp. vanilla
1 tsp. nutmeg
1 tsp. ginger
1 tsp. cinnamon
1 egg
1 Tbls. sugar


Mix dry and wet ingredients separately, then fold in apples and wet ingredients into the dry ones.

Sprinkle with sugar.

Cook 25 minutes at 400 degrees F.

OPTIONAL: Add 1 cup of chopped macadamia nuts
