barbequed oysters

half dozen live oysters in shell maui teriyaki bread crumbs parmesan cheese garlic salt

Put oysters on hot barbeque grill and close lid, flip every so often until they start to open. with an enjector sqirt maui teriyaki into the oyster and let it cook a few more minutes until the oyster firms up. put oysters on cookie sheet to cool for a few minutes. Shuck them and save the shell. Mix bread crumbs and parmasan cheese, 2 parts crumbs one part cheese and a dash of garlic salt. spread over cookie sheet and roll the oysters in the mix. after they are good and covered put them back on the grill to brown and warm. serve in halve shell. Very yummy. I came up with the recipe in Morro Bay CA. All the neighbors love it.
